Water shields that have a very slimy coating are considered to be very high quality plants. This hydrangea is distributed along the Sea of Japan side from Hokkaido to Kyushu, and is commonly seen in Urabandai.<\/p>\n<h2>Purple Loosestrife (<i>Lythrum salicaria<\/i>)<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/en\/wp-content\/themes\/lightning\/images\/template\/plant_summer\/img08b.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Flowering period: July to August<\/p>\n<p>The purple loosestrife is a cold-resistant perennial of Japan and the Eurasian continent, but of Mediterranean origin. You can often see it in wetlands.<\/p>\n<h2>Ooubayuri Lily (<i>Cardiocrinum cordatum var. glehnii<\/i>)<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/en\/wp-content\/themes\/lightning\/images\/template\/plant_summer\/img09b.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Flowering period: July to August<\/p>\n<p>This giant lily blooms in the western part of the Kanto region and has several flowers on each plant, although the subspecies of giant lily in this area may have more than 20 flowers. There are about 500 seeds in each flower.<\/p>\n<h2>Akushiba deciduous shrub (<i>Vaccinium japonicum<\/i>\uff09<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/en\/wp-content\/themes\/lightning\/images\/template\/plant_summer\/img10b.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Flowering period: July to August<\/p>\n<p>The flowers grow to a diameter of 1 to 2 cm and the tree grows to a height of about 20 to 50 cm. The flowers are pale pink, and the petal curl is very splendid. Vermiform hair grows on its stems, and the leaves and stem turn red in autumn.<\/p>\n<h2>Ezorindo Gentian (<i>Gentiana triflora var. japonica<\/i>)<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/en\/wp-content\/themes\/lightning\/images\/template\/plant_summer\/img12b.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Flowering period: August to September<\/p>\n<p>The roots of the ezorindo gentian are bitter and have some medicinal benefits.
