From Takayu Onsen in the west of Fukushima City to the Tsuchiyu Pass is a panoramic course that winds through the mountains of Azuma. Many people like to see the spectacular scenery of the mountains which have an average altitude of 1,350 m. It is the first mountain road in Japan, and has been selected as “one of the famous 100 roads in Japan”. There are lots of sightseeing locations such as Mount Issaikyo and Mount Azumakofuji along the Skyline.

Transit Period
Open from early April to the middle of November. It is closed in winter.
Even during the opening months, there is a possibility of road closure at night (5 pm – 7 am) if, for example, there is a possibility of ice on the road surface.
Please be sure to check the opening times as they may change due to the condition of the road surface.
